Just knowing one of many functions available in Yahoo! Mail …..It is called ‘filters’. Never heard it before? Well, the same with me…..But, now I know what it is and how to use it (to set it up)
Ok then !!! We start with ….
* WHAT
This function enables us to force particular incoming emails to a designated folder. You can create your own folder and make it as your designated folder. The number of filters you can make is 15 (if I am not mistaken). That’s all for the WHAT’s part. I hope you can follow me.
* HOW
First, you can make your own folder by clicking on the “add” folder (on the left side). The yahoo will ask you to write the name of it. For example: the folder name is “my brother folder”.
Second, you choose the “option” ( on the right side, above the “search the way” button)/ “filters” (under the management group)/”add”.
Third, you write the name of your filter. For example: “My brother filter”. After that you must fill the rule (“IF CONDITION”) for the filter. If I want every email from RTY@yahoo.com is sent to “my brother folder”, then I can use the “From Header”. Besides that you also can add you filter based on the “Subject”, “Body” and “To/Cc Header” (one of them or the combination of them). Finish in the “IF CONDITION” continues to the “THEN CONDITION” by choosing the designated folder. In my example, I choose “my brother folder”.
It means if I illustrate it in IF…THEN conditional in programming language, it becomes
IF
The sender is RTY@yahoo.com
THEN
Send the email to “my brother folder”
Fourth, click add filter button.

Easy, heh????
I hope this post give you an idea about what the filters is, how to use it. And at the end, I hope you will get benefits from it.

God bless you
